Saying goodbye to Flyercopilot

Today I'm sharing some difficult news: Flyercopilot will be shutting down.

I started Flyercopilot with a simple idea: to build a better companion for frequent flyers. I wanted to bring the tools and apps many of us use into one place, with an amazing user experience.

Despite significant headwinds, Flyercopilot became something that a lot of users liked, and over time it built a loyal base of subscribers. It was also a super fun project. I was vibe coding Flyercopilot long before vibe coding became a term!

Unfortunately, Flyercopilot depends on access to reliable aviation data. I am soon going to lose support from a key data supplier, and without that data I can no longer provide some of the app's key functionality.

Rather than continue with a product that I cannot stand behind, I have made the difficult decision to shut Flyercopilot down.

Flyercopilot will remain available until July 16th. After that date, the app and its services will no longer function. As of today, we are no longer allowing new user registrations or subscription upgrades.

For customers with active subscriptions, we have stopped Stripe from taking any further subscription fees and have extended your access through July 16th.

For example, if your subscription was due to renew on July 2nd, we will not collect a fee, but your access has been extended until July 16th.

After shutdown, we will delete customer account data, except where we are required to retain records for legal, tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.

I want to say a sincere thank you to everyone who used Flyercopilot, subscribed, shared feedback, reported bugs, or simply told someone else about the app. Independent apps only exist because people are willing to support them, and I have never taken that support for granted.

I also want to thank Anurag for helping get Flyercopilot 2.0 off the ground.

I'm sad that Flyercopilot has to end this way, but I'm proud of what it became and deeply grateful to everyone who was part of the journey.
